“I wish I be a Red Hat Certified Architect soon”
This would have been somebody’s birthday wish this year, we are certain. 100%.
Mr. Anwar Alawad, a System Administrator in UAE, is with ipsr solutions ltd. since the beginning of December 2014 – enjoying company of Mr. Ayman from Egypt and Mr. Chella from Italy, until the latter left just before new year.
Well, staying away from family, friends and other beloved ones, especially for a long duration on a foreign land, fully concentrating on studies, is an uncomfortable thing to do. We understand, and is why we try to put in our best to contribute joy and happiness whenever and wherever possible. That way, we co-operate by making difficult things easy to achieve.
Birthday gift – The traditional Kasavu Mundu (Formal lungi) is a wrap around garment with a golden embroidery known as Kasavu. Worn around the waist, the wearer has to carefully fold the end of the Mundu so that the golden embroidery(Kara) appears on the right side of the person, perfectly as in the picture.
Celebrating Christmas 2K14, New Year 2K15, and of course his achievements with regards to passing different Red Hat examinations, has made Mr. Anwar one among us already. What we could best do for him was celebrate his big day in grand style. His 25th birthday.
A traditional banquet that is ideally known as sadya when served on a banana leaf. It is a vegetarian meal served with boiled rice and a host of side-dishes normally served during special occasions and festivals. Here, we have tried to replicate the same into a formal-style meal with seafood as well. However, we couldn’t manage to get a banana leaf!
Anwar fighting the sultry heat with Tender Coconuts. These are young and immature coconuts gathered from a coconut tree after they reach about 6 months of age, for the purpose of reaping its drink. The water in it is considered to be the most nutritious and refreshing wholesome beverage that nature has provided for the people in this part of the world. The meat is luscious white flesh which is soft, creamy and gelatinous, so can be eaten by hand or using a spoon.
Toddy considered to be the “Poor Mans Rich Drink”, is a beverage created from the sap of coconut palms. The sap, a white liquid initially sweet and non-alcoholic is let to ferment up to a day to yield a strong sour and acidic taste, after which it is drunk.
Cruising along the backwaters of Kerala is an unforgettable experience. Houseboat (House-on-a-boat) rides are very relaxing and lets you enjoy the breathtaking view of the untouched rural Kerala, while you float! Present day houseboats are massive, slow moving barges and are reworked version of kettuvallams of olden times.
When he stands just two exams away from being certified as a Red Hat Certified Architect, his wish is pretty obvious. So is ours. All the best, Anwar to successfully complete the program requirements of earning the much valued Red Hat Certified Architect status. The distance is less now having nailed the EX436 (Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Clustering and Storage Management), EX401 (Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Deployment and Systems Management) and EX210 (Red Hat Certified System Administrator in Red Hat OpenStack).
A picture stream of the entertaining side of a friend’s trip is up here. It only shows that you deserve to be with people who could make you smile.
Anwar, We hope you enjoyed the new year and that you will use it as a launchpad for your future. God Speed!
